Vegetarian Soap
The vegetarian soap recipe makes a mild soap that will lather up very well. It is a very good soap for using multiple additives.
In addition, it is a great recipe for making large quantities of soap as it works well in large, open-type molds.
This is a cold process homemade soap recipe so a little more work is required. But, it should easily make you large amounts of wonderful, fragrant homemade soap.
Vegetarian Soap Recipe
- 42 ounces blended vegetable or olive oil
- 30 ounces coconut oil
- 28 ounces vegetable shortening
- 6 ounces cocoa butter
- 3 ounces castor oil
- 14 ounces lye
- 41 ounces cold water
Soap Qualities
- Mild
- Typically white or off-white color
- Must be milled when damp
- Lathers well
- Works well with large open molds
- Takes longer to show trailings
- Slow to set up and dry
- Works well with additives
