Heritage Soap

The Heritage soap recipe is great for adding oils and fragrances and will produce a mild soap with a wonderful, creamy lather.

It is also great to use with some of the more intricate soap molds. The color will be basic white unless color additives are used.

Heritage Soap

  • 44 ounces tallow
  • 30 ounces olive oil
  • 28 ounces lard
  • 14 ounces lye
  • 41 ounces cold water

Soap Qualities

  • Mild
  • Good creamy lather
  • White
  • Must be damp when milled
  • Good for all molds including intricate molds
  • Shows trailings quickly
  • Sets up quickly and dries easily
  • Good for additives
